Method:

Equipment:

• Saucepan
• Baking Paper
• Cookie Cutter
• 5Tblsp Sugar
• 2Tblsp Golden Syrup
• 1Tsp Baking Soda

Instructions:

1. Wash your hand
2. Get you equipment
3. Set up the bunsen burner
4. Put a pot ontop of the tripod above of the bunsen burner
5. Light the bunsen burner hole closed put fire first then gas
6. Add 5Tblsp of Sugarto the pot
7. Add 2Tblsp of Golden Syrup to the pot
8. Melt & Mix
9. Turn off the gas and add one Tblsp of Baking Soda & Mix
10. Scrape the Hokey Pokey onto the Baking Paper
11. Let it cool for atleast 30Sec/1min
12. Press a Cookie Cutter into the Hokey Pokey

Our Business And Enterprise Term

 In Business & Enterprise I was chosen the be the CEO of our product or company and I had to do basically everything. So I had to do all of the business plan stuff and write this huge letter and do all of the other computer stuff.

We were going to make lollie bracelets at first but Mr said no because it was covid times so we made these coasters.

Make a big poster with lots of colours that will atract the eyes and have a good product but don't make it to expensive or else you won't make any sales. Being me as the CEO I gave ideas and let my team vote with me and that is why we made the coasters we have a Koru, Fern, Blank, Aotearoa and a Kiwi. 

I recon we used our time wisely because it only took 3 or 4 weeks out of the 6 we had to make and design our product we just played games the last 2 weeks with the occasional work we had to do. 

I beleive our product was sucsessful because we sold about 20 of the coasters and about 4 of them were bought by kids the rest were bought by adults and we still have pre orders to do today, 2.12.21. 

I beleive our group showed all of the CARR values, Respect we showed by greeting our customers, Acheivement we showed by getting lots of profits and letting the teachers use it for our swimming day because we had to, Resilience we showed by trying to sell our last stock for 20Mins, And Commitment We showed by commiting to doing the whole business and enterprise for the whole term.

4. Half fill the cup with warm water
5. Add 1 teaspoon of yeast

7. Leave it to ferment for one week
8. After 1 week taste it

It tasted like really strong Beer

3. Put your Paper/Plate on your table
4. Get the three powders
5. Put the ingredients on different corners
6. Taste the sherbet 
7. If to much baking soda put Citric Acid
8. If to tuch citric acid add more Baking Soda
9. If it doesn't taste good add more Raro

It was pretty fun but it took a while to get it right

Eating Hot Chilli

 Aim: 

I want to find out how to get rid of the spice of burning chilli on my tongue.

Method:

Equipment: 

Popsickle stick, Chilli

Timer, Coke, Water, Milk, Cup

Instructions: 

1. Get your equipment
2. Scoop some chilli onto your stick
3. Start the timer and eat the chilli
4. Stop the timer after four minutes
5. Rate how hot your mouth is
6. Do experiment again but drink water after two minutes
7. Do experiment again but drink water after two minutes
8. Drink milk

    

Results: 

Normal Hot sauce I rate it 10/10

With Water I rate it a 8 out of 10

With coke about a 2 out of 10

With milk about a 1 out of 10

Discussion:

Why does the chilli burn your mouth? Because of Capsaicin.

Why did the milk reduce the burn? milk contains Fat which dissolves the Capsaecin.

What Does Income Mean

 Our group came up that income means, money that comes into your account when you work or do something for money. Passive income means, when you don't have to work for money or if your old and get retirement pays.

Bacteria Around Our School

 Aim:

I want to find out what type of bacteria are around our school.

Reasearch:

Equipment:

• Cotton Buds
• Agar Plates
• Marker Pen
• Tape

Instructions:

1. Get your equipment.
2. Wash your hands.
3. Use a marker pen to write your name and location on the lid.
4. Wet the cotton bud and swab the surface.
5. Gently swab the agar plate.
6. Tape around the edges of the agar plate.
7. Put the agar plate in an incubator over-night.
8. Observe the plate the next day

Is it fuzzy- yes = Fungi

If not = Looks smooth = Bacteria

White=Ecoli- Poop Bacteria.

Yellow=Streptococci- throught infection and Orange means a really bad one.

Pink=salmonella- Food poisoning.

Red=Meningitis- Brain poisoning

My one has lots of throat infection Lots of poo and a yeast infection Me James Benaiah and Truby smelt the side and it stunk like s*** It made me gag

My Holiday P1

Hey Readers, This is what happened in my holiday.

It was my birthday on oct,2 and I turned 12 my birthday was on the first saturday on the holiday, for my birthday I got a weight kit and some chocolate and lollies. 

On that saturday at about 11:00 I went to my Poppas and Grandmas, all of my cousins and aunties came, we had cake and a Barbeque and everybody including me got turns in my Grandmas new Tesla.

Measuring Mentos And Coke

 Aim: I want to find out how many bubbles are made when mentos is dropped in coke.

Method:

Equipment

• Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite
• Mentos
• Measuring cylinder (100ml and 10ml)
• Safety Glasses
• Detergent (10ml)

Instructions:

1. Put safety glasses on
2. Get coke and mentos
3. Pour 20 mls of coke into 100 mil measuring cylinder
4. add 5 mls of detergent to you coke

Results:

Conclusion:

I found out that fruit mentos doesn't work with the coke and mentos experiment, and that when you put detergent in with it, it makes the bubbles stay longer and makes the bubbles go higher go higher.

Turning Milk Into Plastic

Aim:

I want to find out how to turn milk into plastic.

Method: 

Equipment:

• 1 Cup Milk
• 4Tsp white vinegar
• Microwave
• Bowl/Mug
• Spoon For Mixing
• Food Colouring
• Paper Towels

Instruction:

1. Pour one cup of milk into a pot or microwaveable container
2. Heat the milk in the microwave or the stove until it is steaming
3. Add four teaspoons of white vinegar into your hot milk
4. Stir the mixture
5. Knead all the curds into a ball
6. Colour shape or decorate the dough as you like
7. Put it on the paper and dry overnight

3. Gentle pour warm water in the middle of the Dish

the water is more dense than the different colours making the colours not mix.

1. Put your marshmallows in your Bowl/Cup
2. Melt in microwave for 10 secs
3. Mix with you icing sugar
4. (Optional) add a couple of drops of vegetable oil

Hockey

 What is Hockey? 

Equipment:

1. For hockey you will need a hockey stick
   
2. you will need a tennis ball or a proper hockey ball
3. something that resembles a goal

Safety:

1. Your not a ninja so do NOT carry or swing the stick above your head.
2. I recommend using a mouth gaurd so that your teeth do not fall out (optional).
3. Be careful where you swing.
4. The balls stay on the ground

I learnt how to keep more control over the ball when I am dribbling and when I am passing and shooting.

 Aim: I want tot find out what happens to gummy bears when you leave it in liquids.

Method:

• Liquids - Salt Water - Sugar Water - Water.
• Electronic Scale

• Marker Pen

Instructions:

2. Get your petri dish and write down you name and the water type
3. weigh the bear and write it on the petri dish 
4. come back a white later and check results
