For inquiry I chose endangered animals, for endangered animals we learnt about Habitat Destruction. I liked Habitat Destruction, because we got to learn about animals. I made a DLO (digital learning object) about habitat destruction it teaches you about how it works. this is what it turned out like. 

sugaryyy lemon scrub (homemade)

Hey Readers!,

Thursday, fifth of November we made lemon hand scrub. 

Step one: read the book and write down the instructions,

Step two: go to a space that can get a bit messy and that can get cleaned up easily,

Step three: get out you lemons, grater, sugar (lots), knife, measuring cups, big bowl and vegetable oil,

Step four: grate your lemons, cut them after grating your lemons, put two and a half cups of sugar in your big bowl, and 1 cup of vegetable oil,

Step five: mix your sugar zest and vegetable oil together, pour as much lemon juice as you want in your mix,

Step six: mix for a while and put in container for later washing

Persuasive Writing

hey reader's

 in writing at school we made a persuasive argument writing, it was pretty easy. these are the steps, first make a title then a introduction explaining a bit what your writing is about, next make three or four body paragraphs explaining some points that are good about the argument or bad about the argument, and last make a conclusion or what your writing is in a smaller version at the end. what i found hard was using the right words for what you are explaining about because you have to use some technical words in through some of your writing. lastly read through your writing and fix some words that could be better like group could be population. this is my writing below hope you enjoy. ;)

You should keep some animals in the zoo

Have you ever thought how many predators there would be to exotic and normal animals if you set them all free?

In my opinion, I believe that some animals should be kept in zoos, I believe this because there are lots of predators like lions, tigers, poachers (illegal hunters) the exotic animals might need help surviving so they can breed and keep there population.

Firstly, The predators as in lions can easily kill smallish animals such as foxes or in some cases they can kill tigers! Other predators include of tigers, some rodents hippos and elephants, but elephants don’t kill on purpose they accidentally stomp on them because elephants are herbivores. 

So would you let all of the exotic animals out and let them get squished and bit and sliced? no I wouldn’t!

Secondly, If rhinos and other animals that are endangered if you let all of them out then the poachers will probably kill them illegally. If black rhinos get poached then their population will easily die off because they are massively endangered their are only about five thousand left in the world. 

Would you rather let poachers kill all of the endangered species or lock poachers up?

Lastly, in my opinion the exotic animals should be kept in the zoos because quite a bit of the exotic animals are endangered. Because these animals are endangered they should be helped and cared for until they get old or healed.

Would you like to know that more animals are surviving? I would!

In conclusion, I believe that endangered animals should be kept in zoos so that they can be kept safe. These poacher’s and predators are endangering lot’s of different types of exotic animals like some frogs, tiger’s, lions, polar bears and also pandas. These are some are the cute animals most people like, and we are endangering them!

 for the past week we have learnt how to make a info report, first you have title then, body paragraph 1 the 2 then 3 and then a conclusion. and in all of those you need technical words, facts not non real facts they have to be true. this is my info report about computers. \/

Introduction

Have you ever had a computer?

Did you know the name of the first computer was called the E.N.I.A.C for short it’s full name was, “get ready for it”, Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer.

Appearance

The E.N.I.A.C is one of the biggest computer it weighed 27 tons! But the biggest one weighed 300 tons!!! It was called the S.A.G.E semi automatic ground environment, it was by far the worlds largest computer. The E.N.I.A.C weighed a lot because they did not know how to make the computer smaller and they didn’t have the technology for it.

Video Games

Did you know the first computer game was made in 1958 and it was called pong. the makers name was William Higinbotham. According to research the most fun game is super mario bros. Also the second oldest game is space wars made in 2.14.1962. published by: Steve Russell.

Costs

Did you know that the S.A.G.E the biggest computer cost 67 billion that would be about half of the richest man todays money!!! And the eniac one of the first computers cost money back then =150,000 and todays money it cost =400,000. And the oldest apple computer is worth more than 300,000 thats alot for a old computer!

Conclusion

As you can see obviously computers are much smarter than all the people ever COMBINED!!! “Do you think robots will take over the world”

today we did a all about me it was quite easy and fun,
i liked it because we got to do anything we wanted to edit it.

for the past 4 or so days we have been making Matariki free verse poems it was fun because we got to get ideas and write our own poems i thought it was hard because we had to write the right words in a poem we have never done before. and this is my poem down here.

hello viewers!, today for blog posting for our writing we are doing a quality blog post of quality blog posts! crazy. it is very fun because the name and we get to basically judge (in a fair way of course) other peoples blog posts here is my toung twisting title of a slide.

maths in quarantine

for maths we learnt more about time we went through three different ways to say them.
we went through writing all the words and then we went through digital clocks and how after half past, and we also went through analog clocks. you just look at the numbers the small one is the hour hand and the big one the minute hand sometimes there is even a second hand, there is 12 different numbers which represent hours for the small one and five minutes for the big one there is also four different little pegs which represent one minute. i thought this learning was quite easy because i learnt how to read an analog clock at I think six.

today i did a brain teaser it was hard me and Tyler worked together, it was pretty easy and fun.

at math on Monday 16.3.2020 we learned a bit more about statistics. we learned that we had to order them in tenths not hundredths or thousandths. it was kind of confusing but once you get to know it its pretty easy. you can learn easily from this!
