Aim:
I want to find out what type of bacteria are around our school.
Reasearch:
Equipment:
- Cotton Buds
- Agar Plates
- Marker Pen
- Tape
Instructions:
- Get your equipment.
- Wash your hands.
- Use a marker pen to write your name and location on the lid.
- Wet the cotton bud and swab the surface.
- Gently swab the agar plate.
- Tape around the edges of the agar plate.
- Put the agar plate in an incubator over-night.
- Observe the plate the next day
Is it fuzzy- yes = Fungi
If not = Looks smooth = Bacteria
White=Ecoli- Poop Bacteria.
Yellow=Streptococci- throught infection and Orange means a really bad one.
Pink=salmonella- Food poisoning.
Red=Meningitis- Brain poisoning
